1. What the Reference Provides
Redondo Beach Residents Directory is a privately operated reference to public rolls, record indexes, and directory books that may show who lives or once lived in Redondo Beach, California. It describes and links to official sources but hosts no government records. It is independent of every office, court, library, and records custodian named in its links.
2. Lawful Use Rules
Use the material only for a lawful, responsible purpose. You may not use this site or information reached through it to:
- Stalk, harass, intimidate, threaten, or harm another person
- Locate a person protected by a restraining or protective order
- Commit identity theft, fraud, or another unlawful act
- Make a decision regulated by the FCRA, including credit, employment, housing, or insurance decisions
- Scrape, reproduce, or republish site material at scale
- Disrupt the site's operation, security, or access controls
These terms do not create access to DMV information. The federal Driver's Privacy Protection Act, 18 USC §§2721–2725, and California law restrict disclosure and use of motor-vehicle personal information. California's Safe at Home program supplies a substitute address for eligible participants, but it does not erase older public records.
3. No Consumer Reports
This site is not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act, 15 U.S.C. § 1681 et seq. Neither the pages here nor results returned by a linked search tool are consumer reports. They may not be used to assess eligibility for credit, employment, housing, insurance, or any other purpose covered by the FCRA.
4. External Services
Government portals and third-party services, including sponsored search tools, operate under their own terms and privacy policies. Redondo Beach Residents Directory does not control or guarantee their content, availability, prices, security, or data practices.
5. No Warranty
The reference is supplied "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind. No promise is made that a page is accurate, complete, or current, or that a linked portal will remain available or return a correct result.
6. Liability Limits
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the operators are not liable for direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages arising from use of this site or an external resource, including a decision made from a record located through a link.
7. Indemnification
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold the site's operators harmless from a claim or demand, including reasonable attorneys' fees, that results from your misuse of the site or breach of these terms.
8. Site Content
The original writing, design, logo, and layout are protected by copyright. Linking to a page and quoting a short, attributed excerpt is welcome. Republishing a full page or copying the material systematically is not permitted.
9. Changes
A revised version may be posted here at any time. Continued use after a revision is posted means that you accept the updated terms.
10. Ending Access
Access may be blocked or restricted for a user who violates these terms or abuses the service, at the operators' discretion and without advance notice.
11. California Law
California law governs these terms without regard to conflict-of-law principles. The California Public Records Act, Gov. Code §§7920.000–7931.000, governs requests made to California agencies, not this privately operated reference. Under Gov. Code §7922.535, an agency generally makes a determination within ten calendar days; unusual circumstances can support a written extension of up to 14 days.
The CPRA cannot override protected voter information, adoption records, juvenile records, sealed cases, DMV data, or restricted vital records. Each custodian decides what may be disclosed and how a record may be corrected or certified.
12. Severability
If a provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in effect.
